Now they started to draw more regularly. Every week, on paper on a table the size of a bed.
Lately even with some kind of ‘theme’...

]]> nico 2006-12-06T15:43:52Z 2007-08-08T14:42:39Z 1/24th second of fame tag:localhost:8888,2007-06-06:f3af980d3ca9333327beed39b3759bc5/60349e7a3f8448174e5423f773a61d5c In this work in progress we have the idea to make a one minute animation with 1440 artists: Each drawing/painting equals 1 frame(each second contains 24 frames and 1440×1 frame makes 1 minute of film).

A little test was made and shown at the 2nd ‘Poptahof Stapelstad’ exhibition in Delft. (see: some pictures and a very short video on this page).

During the making of this test, we slept in a ‘bedsculpture’.

]]> We hebben een idee om een 1 minuut animatie te maken met 1440 kunstenaars: Elke tekening/schilderij staat voor 1 frame (elke seconde bestaat uit 24 frames en 1440×1 frame maakt samen 1 minuut film).

Een kleine testanimatie werd gemaakt en laten zien op de 2de ‘Poptahof Stapelstad’ tentoonstelling in Delft. (zie: een aantal foto’s en hele kleine video op deze pagina).

This meaning we were in the position to buy 42,000 small bottles. The question to the public is: What to do with 42,000 (forty two thousand) bottles?

If you have any better ideas than we do (which quite hard), mail them to us at 42000@ditisdit.com, thank you!
(o yeah, this project also needs quite some cash)

This project started in the end of 2005, but till now the people from ‘dit is dit’ didn’t succeed in doing something great with the bottles yet…
August 2008 over 17000 bottles were moved from one place to another, which took the lads of ‘dit is dit’ 2 days…

These bottles are still a little dirty, but now packed in boxes of fifty bottles with an original ‘dit is dit klatsch’ and signature.

]]> ‘Dit is dit’ wist 42.000 flesjes op de kop te tikken.
De vraag aan het publiek is: Wat te doen met 42.000 (tweeënveertigduizend) flesjes?

(o ja, dit project heeft ook aardig wat € nodig)

Dit project startte eind 2005, maar ‘dit is dit’ is er nog niet in geslaagd er iets geweldigs mee te doen…
Augustus 2008 werden meer dan 17000 flesjes van de ene plek naar een andere verhuisd, wat de knapen van ‘dit is dit’ 2 dagen kostte…

Deze flesjes zijn nog wel een beetje vies, maar nu verpakt in dozen van 50 flesjes met een originele ‘dit is dit klatsch’ en handtekening.

Although this plan exists for years already… we still think it’s great. A video store were you can rent all sorts of home-made videos made by whoever. These can be artistic videos, raw and uncut film material or so, but the ones we really search for are the ‘pure’ videotapes, which show the most exiting stuff out of the boring lives of our fellow human beings (or the other way around). Topvideos from our collection are: ‘Urlaub in Ägypt’ en ‘Gonnie 50 jaar’.

]]> We hebben al jaren een plan om een ‘HomeVideotheek’ te starten: Een videotheek waar je allerlei soorten homevideo’s gemaakt door wie dan ook kan huren. Dit zouden kunstzinnige video’s of rouw filmmateriaal kunnen zijn. De video’s waar we echt naar opzoek zijn, zijn de ‘echte’ homevideo’s, waar saaie medemensen hun indrukwekkenste belevenissen op tape zetten. Toppers uit onze bestaande collectie zijn ‘Urlaub in Agypt’ en ‘Gonnie 50 jaar’.
In elk geval zijn we nog steeds opzoek naar meer Homevideo’s, dus als je ons uw video wil doneren, contact ons: homevideotheek@ditisdit.com.
De foto laat een homevideotheekpromotieinstallatie zien (zoals te zien was bij Moira en in een andere vorm bij de Haagse Rondgang 2004 bij Pleite, Den Haag.
